Now booking from May onwards! Step into the heart of the countryside with our brand-new Highland Cow Retreat – an unforgettable experience for those who can’t resist the charm of our fluffy, lovable herd.

Tuck yourself away in a luxury geodome or shepherd’s hut, each one thoughtfully designed with Highland cow charm and cosy touches throughout.

Join Farmer Mark for an immersive meet-and-greet where you’ll feed, groom, and connect in a truly magical setting. Angus, Desmond, and Raymond absolutely love meeting our guests — especially when there’s brushing involved!

Each one has their own unique personality and quirks, and during your time with Farmer Mark, you’ll get to know them all on a deeper level.

After unwind with a delicious, freshly prepared afternoon tea in our cosy dining geodome amongst the cows, with sweet and savoury treats from the amazing Chimes Café in Ripon.

Whether you’re surprising someone special or treating yourself to a slow escape, this is more than a getaway – it’s a feel-good, one-of-a-kind experience you’ll never forget.

This experience is £50 per person and can be added via the ‘extras’ on the the booking page.

What’s Included

✔ Up-close time with our Highland cows – feed them, brush them, and enjoy plenty of fluffy cuddles!
✔ A hands-on, interactive experience with the wonderful Farmer Mark, packed with stories and laughs
✔ Your very own private afternoon tea, served in our new geodome amongst the cows with fresh, homemade treats and countryside views

Available Sunday to Thursday only.
The experience may be shared with other guests unless you request a private experience at the time of booking (extra charge may apply).
The time of the experience will be confirmed after booking.
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
Guests must sign a waiver on arrival, as working with animals is at their own risk.
In the event that the animals are not suitable for interaction on the day (due to health, temperament, or weather conditions), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the experience.
No refunds will be given for cancellations due to animal welfare, but we’ll do our best to offer an alternative activity.
For everyone’s safety, guests must follow all instructions from our team.
